In a battle of 2023 champions, the Commodores edged out 4A champions Alcorn Central 3-1 (25-14, 25-19, 22-25, 26-24) at home on August 20, 2024.

Lafayette led early with two sets but the Bears roared back taking the third set and pushing the fourth set to extra points. Mabry Eason, senior, led the Commodores with 19 kills.

The Commodores return to action this Thursday, August 22 versus Corinth for the first division match.
